For a while now I’ve been toying with the idea to test out Drupal’s subdomain module.  This allow you to create unlimited subdomains for your domain and link them to content.  As an example you can have various content categories, and for each of those categories have a subdomain.

We launched it at http://www.greatblogsite.com/.  One of the categories we have is Dog Training Tricks which then links to http://dog-training-tricks.greatblogsite.com/.  This is great if you have a community site and you want to have each user have his or her own subdomain name.

I have a love for development and decided to start a PHP Development blog.  I already have a number of articles and tips loaded there, and will be added a lot more in the future.

We have setup this simple website called Romantic Tips that provides romantic tips for guys.  The reason we setup this is to test out our new auto responder software.

This auto responder software allows you to create automated emails to go out to the subscriber at predetermined intervals.  For example, 1 email every 7 days.

The other aspect that we are testing is Google Adwords.  We have been able to draw in 98 new subscribers in 4 days using Google Adwords.

I’m forever looking for exchange rates on the Internet, as we do a lot of work for foreigners.  So today I decided to just put up my own website with all the latest exchange rates in there.

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now, and finally got around to it.  A tool where you can monitor a domain’s availability.  If you want to monitor a domain to see when it becomes available to register, simply enter you details on http://www.domainmonitoring.co.za/ and it will keep you update about it’s availability.

Yea, we know, there are a million of these URL shortening services out there already.  We wanted to make one though where you can benefit by using it.

Visit http://purl.co.za and simply enter the URL you want to shorten.  You will then get a URL like http://purl.co.za/ecoa which will be directed to your URL.

How does it benefit you though?  Not only can you create shorter links, but you’ll be listed in our directory which will provide a link to your website.  The better our page rank gets, the more you will benefit!

We have just launched www.stuffyouwant.co.za.  This project made use of Drupal, combined with a few customized modules we designed.  The main reason for it’s design was as a proof of concept.

Most noteworthy are the Drupal Redirect and Drupal Clickbank Import modules.

Drupal Redirect Module – with this module we are able to create customized urls that link to outside websites.  This not only encodes the urls, but it also allows you to track which links are clicked on more than others.

Drupal Clickbank Import Module – this module was custom made to import the complete market list from Clickbank.  It does so by recreating the complete category and subcategory structure that Clickbank currently using.

It was decided that www.ec-offroad.co.za needed to get a redesign.  We took this oppurtunity to also move it over to another CMS.  It always ran on Wordpress, which was sufficient while the website was just a website, but we’ve moved it over to Drupal to take advantage of more advanced CMS features that Drupal offers.

We were given the project to design an online accommodation booking site that will cater for the Soccer World Cup 2010 event.  The site is based on Drupal, and we’ve made use of a few techniques we haven’t made use of before.

Not only is it a site we designed, but I think it’s a very nice way to make money.  You can rent out your own private property over the period while the fans from all over the world will require accommodation.
